A City Hewn From Rock – Göreme, Central Turkey

In a spectacular landscape, entirely sculpted by erosion, the Göreme valley and its surroundings contain rock-hewn sanctuaries that provide unique evidence of Byzantine art in the post-Iconoclastic period. Dwellings, troglodyte villages and underground towns – the remains of a traditional human habitat dating back to the 4th century – can also be seen there. The Göreme National Park was added to the UNESCO World Heritage List in 1985.

Anubias ‘petite’: creating an underwater nano terrarium

Anubias nana ‘petite’ is one of the best, hardy aquarium plants you can get. Here I used it for an underwater, ultra-low maintenance nano terrarium. Lately I’ve been bitten by the terrarium bug and looking to build one as a companion to my 60l planted tank.
